We know 4x4, that's all we do.
We have a double project for a customer in North Carolina
Both tubs will be completely rebuilt, prepped and painted before being returned to the customer so that he can install them on his chassis.
Tub # 1 on the left is a 68 which will end up a pearl white. Tub #2 is a 66 which will be returned to its original green.
Both front floor panels need to be replaced
We found that this cross member has collapsed. It must be repaired and reinforced before we reinstall it
We will have to replace allot of sheet metal on this one. Complete front inner clip, both rear quarters, both tail light surrounds, rockers, inner rockers, front floors, kick pans etc... then we can prep and paint it!
Project: Double Trouble
68 and 66 Bronco bodies
The cross member is repaired, reinforced and replaced.
Both front floor pans have been replaced and now the inner as well as outer rocker panels will be replaced.
All new front inner clip is attached and new doors are fitted.
Fenders, grill and hood are fitted to ensure proper body gaps before final welding is complete.
New striker posts are also needed
The body is ready to prep for paint
This tub has had someone do some very extensive patch work already.
As you will see we are going to be removing it all and doing it right.
Both front floors will be replaced.
Both door posts, kick pans and front inner fender aprons look to have been replaced already.
However, as you can see from the hood line, the front inner clip was assembled crooked.
Nearly an inch to the left.
We will have to cut everything back apart to get it straightened properly
With all the other patches, they overlooked the rear cross member body mounts are nearly rusted away completely
Nasty patches will be removed. We will replace the entire floor in this body.
Some work on door alignment is in order also
Body prep work is underway for this body also.
Body prep work is nearly done and this body will go to paint very soon!!
Red Oxide Epoxy primer underside.
We are just about ready for paint.!!
First, two coats of base Ford white are applied.
Then we applied three coats of clear.
Todd is finishing up with color sanding and buffing for the perfect finish!!
The bodies are complete and are going back to North Carolina for 40 more years on the road!!
Painted areas are masked off and black urethane is applied to the inside and underside of the tub.
Final assembly before being shipped is underway
