We know 4x4, that's all we do.
We have a customer in Oklahoma who has purchased this great 73 Bronco from us for a complete frame off restoration.
We will be installing fuel injection on a new 302. A new 4 speed auto trans will be installed. Power disc brakes, power steering, axles rebuilt with 4.11 gears.
The body will be completely worked over and painted to customers taste.
Aftermarket seats and new interior will also be installed with all new wiring.
Check back from time to time to see our progress over the next several months.
First we have to dismantle the rig so we can see what we have to work with
37 years since the body was off the frame
The front inner clip was damaged beyond repair so it is removed. The body is ready to be refurbished. It is placed in the schedule for the rotisserie.
The chassis and drive train are ready for disassembly,
Chassis is completely disassembled
Engine is just about ready for the machine shop.
We have just about completed the sheet metal work.
The tub has been blasted and we found that the rear floor panels need to be replaced.
All sheet metal work is complete and the body has been blasted.
Now we will do the final prep work to ready the body and other parts for paint.
The 302 V8 is completely rebuilt
New AOD 4 speed trans is ready to hook up to the rebuilt Dana 20 T case.
Final body work is underway to prep for paint.
Associated sheet metal has been blasted and is ready for final body work.
The frame has been refurbished. Blasted, POR 15 coated and chassis black acrylic enamel painted.
Our customer has decided on a red body color. So we have painted the coils and changed the shock boots and bushing to match.
Double shocks on all corners, new BFG AT 33's are fitted
The chassis is ready for the big parts!!
We fabricate a new cross member to fit the new AOD and adaptor into place.
Tranny is in, now for the rebuilt T shift Dana 20 transfer case
Each panel and body part is refurbished or repaired then fitted, reworked and fitted again until all the body lines and gaps are correct.
Our goal is to use the very minimum of body filler. We should have no more than a fingernail thickness left on the body in any area when it is ready for paint. These parts are ready for primer/filler, final blocking and then the paint booth.
Chassis is ready for exhaust, fuel tank, fuel and brake lines are installed.
Fender flares are fitted and final sealer surfacer is applied, final blocking and the body is just about ready for paint.
New stainless steel exhaust system is installed and the chassis is complete and ready for the body!!
Flares are fitted. All the sheet metal has been fitted including the hard top to ensure everything will assemble properly after paint is applied.
Now the tub will have urethane applied on the inside and underside. But first we have to reverse mask all the painted areas to protect them from the urethane.
The urethane is applied.
Time to install the body on the chassis!
It looks like a Bronco again!!
The new custom dash is ready to be laid out. New Tach, in dash radio and XM radio are laid out for ease of use and functionality.
Custom wire harness is built to accommodate all the new electronic and power outlets.
